This site uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking. The only personal data involved is the technical log which every web server keeps, and the emails you choose to send me.
The site sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and contains no analytics, no advertising, and no profiling, so no decision about you is taken by automated means. The fonts and images are served by the site itself, and no content from other companies is loaded when you open a page. For this reason, no cookie banner is shown. The links to LinkedIn, X, and Instagram are ordinary links, and the privacy policies of those companies apply once you follow them.
I use Google Search Console, a free service which reports how often the pages of this site appear in Google Search and how often they are clicked. The service works from the search data which Google already holds, and it adds no script, cookie, or tracking to these pages. For this reason, it records nothing about your visit to this site.
This site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., on servers in Italy. Like any web server, these servers record each request in a log, with the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser, and the page you came from. Aruba keeps this log to run the site and protect it from misuse, on the basis of a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and it processes the log on my behalf. For my part, I do not use this log to identify visitors, and I do not combine it with any other data.
If you write to me at info@annamarialuongo.com, I receive your address and your message, and I use them only to reply. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, when you ask me for work, the steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Emails are held on the servers of my email provider, which processes them on my behalf, and they stay in my mailbox for as long as the conversation needs them or until you ask me to delete them. Writing to me is voluntary, and every page of the site works in full without it.
Under the GDPR, you can ask me for access to your personal data, for its correction or deletion, and for a copy in a portable format. You can also ask me to restrict its use or object to it, by writing to info@annamarialuongo.com. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the EU Member State where you live or work, or where you believe the infringement took place.
